Back in the late 1980s H & S Beach Service took over the beach service operations in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina. At that time the previous beach service had been selling snow comes on the beach from push carts but the new owner, Vince Smith, wanted something more. He remembered a delicious soft frozen lemonade he had tried at the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion back in his lifeguarding days. It was called Lemon Quench and he soon began selling “Quench” from the push carts instead of the snow cones. It was an instant hit. Ove the years there were a few changes, H & S Beach Service expanded and became North Strand Beach Service, the name of the product changed from Lemon Quench to Lemon Twist and then Freshers and finally it was just called soft frozen lemonade. North Strand Beach Service began making and selling it on the beach until 2009 when Vince opened Carolina Quench LLC and officially brought the name “Quench” back with the great tasting, all natural product that had been sold on the beach for the past 20 years. In addition to lemon we now have over 10 flavors and several locations along the Grand Strand. We have also expanded to Ocean Isle Beach NC, Destin FL, Greenville SC and Belmont/Charlotte NC.
All of our flavors are gluten free, dairy free, cholesterol free, fat free and sweetened with pure cane sugar, never high fructose corn syrup. They are made with real fruit, fruit juices and no added preservatives or colorings one batch at a time to insure quality.
